English Materials and Cartoons

I’ve been very glad I brought my digital projector. Not only have I used it for Powerpoint English lessons, I’ve added a little “non-English” fun to most of my classes. All grades have enjoyed the videos and cartoons but none more than the kindergarten kids watching a hapless pig named Ormie trying to get at a cookie jar. In the video below, you’ll see what a pleasure it was for me to watch their faces as they watched Ormie…

To avoid hauling the projector all around southeast Asia, I shipped it to the school before leaving home. I also sent some used English books and some new classroom posters. Teacher Kek had these photos taken of the children holding the new additions to the library…

The kids seem to be eating up the new materials…

A big thumbs up on all your fantastic accomplishments. Looks to me like you’ve made a world of difference in the past month! You’re right about those little kindergarten faces…. Sometimes a picture says far more than words! I think they all love you, John! Have a cheeseburger with MLM, and have fun exploring Cambodia. Wish I were with you. Lotsa love. B4N
